Costain wins contract to help deliver Heathrow upgrades

by | Nov 29, 2022

Costain has won a contract from Heathrow Airport to help deliver upgrades on its Terminal 2 facility and wider asset efficiency improvements.
The west London airport is planning to spend £3.6bn over the next five years as it tries to recover from the financial hit from the Covid pandemic and last summer’s embarrassing chaos which saw hundreds of flight cancellations and luggage piled up at the terminal.

Redevelopment includes up-to-date security scanners and a new baggage system, with both projects expected to cost about £1.3bn.
