Iron ore miner Ferrexpo reported an increase in second quarter production driven by higher output after pelletiser upgrade work and announced the appointment of a new chief financial officer.
The Ukraine-focused company said iron ore pellet production was 2.8m tonnes in the three months to June, up 5% on the first quarter, and 2% higher year on year.

First-half production rose 2% to 5.7m tones compared with the first quarter, but down 9% annually after stockpile drawdown carried out in the first half of the 2020, Ferrexpo said.

The said Nikolay Kladiev would start as chief financial officer from August 4.
