Venture capital outfit Forward Partners announced its intention to float on AIM in order to continue growing its business.
The firm’s focus is on high-growth potential UK-based businesses that leverage artificial intelligence with marketplace and eCommerce technology.

The company’s founder, Nic Brisbourne, said: “In 2013, I started Forward Partners with a single mission in mind: to give more founders their best shot at success. Since then, we’ve built a portfolio we’re immensely proud of – and packed with ambitious, growing businesses operating in the hottest technology sectors.

“Our big differentiator has always been that we offer start-ups more than money. The combination of capital alongside specialist support for our start-ups has helped us to improve the odds of success for more pioneering founders.”

In particular, the company touted its “highly experienced” management team, including that of its founder, who had over 20 years of experience in the industry under his belt.

It also called attention to its “market-leading” performance since its founding, in 2013, with a gross internal rate of return of more than 25%

The company’s backer, Blackrock, had already indicated that it wanted to subscribe for £15m and Draper Esprit for another £2.0m.
