On home shores, the Confederation of British Industry will publish its Distributive Trades index for the month of November.
No major economic releases are due out in the US, where the stock market will only open for a half day of trading.
Nevertheless, investors will be monitoring reports on retail sales over Black Friday.
Further afield, a reading for third quarter gross domestic product is due out in Taiwan.
