FTSE 250 movers: Games Workshop hit by broker note; ConvaTec gains

by | Oct 29, 2021

London’s FTSE 250 was down 0.4% at 23,112.70 in afternoon trade on Friday.
Miniature wargames manufacturer Games Workshop was under the cosh after Jefferies cut its estimates and price target to reflect freight and forex challenges.

The bank cut its FY22 revenue estimate by 2% to £380m and its pre-tax profit estimate by 4% to £157m.

Jefferies said it was keeping an eye on signs of discontent in the Warhammer fan base, although it is “not overly concerned at this stage”.

The bank, which rates the stock at ‘buy’, cut its price target to 12,250p from 13,200p.

Going the other way, medical products company ConvaTec was sitting pretty at the top of the index as it said full-year organic revenue growth was set to be towards the upper end of its guidance range after its third-quarter performance was in line with expectations.

ConvaTec said it now expects organic revenue growth towards the top end of its guidance range of between 3.5% and 5%, with a constant currency adjusted EBIT margin of 18% to 19%.
