Fullers FD Adam Councell to step down, take up job at Marlowe

by | Feb 26, 2021

Pub and hotels group Fuller, Smith & Turner said on Friday that Adam Councell plans to step down as finance director.

Councell is leaving Fullers to become chief financial officer of AIM-listed Marlowe. Fullers said the search for his replacement is underway and shareholders will be kept updated as appropriate.

Councell will remain with the company as FD and on the board until a successor has been found.

“Whilst the board is naturally disappointed with Adam’s decision, it would like to take this opportunity to express its appreciation for the contribution that he has made during his tenure with the company,” Fullers said.

Marlowe chief executive Alex Dacre said: “Adam has a highly successful and relevant CFO track record and brings considerable experience in B2B services and acquisition-led growth strategies.

“Having worked closely with Adam at Restore, I’m confident that he will add considerable value to the group as we deliver on our next phase of growth in line with our targets of achieving £500m revenue and £100m EBITDA over the next three years.”
