Invesco Appoints EMEA Diversity & Inclusion Manager 

Invesco today announces the appointment of Devvya Sharma as EMEA Diversity & Inclusion Manager.

As a key member of the EMEA HR senior leadership team, Devvya will be working closely with global D&I leaders, the global HR team and the senior EMEA executive team. She will help drive Invesco’s diversity & inclusion strategy across the region, fostering a culture that supports, encourages and invests in talented people, as well as developing the broader group of diversity initiatives set out by Invesco’s Diversity & Inclusion Executive Council.

Devvya joins from the CFA Institute, which she joined in 2011 to manage its Investment Foundations Program. Her role changed in in 2018, when she began managing the Institute’s External Inclusion & Diversity efforts. This involved, among other things, bringing together key figures from across the investment industry to establish common goals and metrics for success.

Invesco’s EMEA Diversity & Inclusion networks have spearheaded the firm’s response to issues of race, equality and social injustice. It was through their leadership that in 2020 Invesco EMEA signed up to the Race at Work Charter, committed to the ‘100 Black Interns’ programme and lent its voice to the #TalkAboutBlack and #IAm social media campaigns.

This progress is set to accelerate in 2021: Invesco has sponsored and will participate in City Hive’s Cross-Company Mentoring Scheme which aims to achieve a more balanced asset management industry. This will run alongside Invesco’s new mentoring scheme, the Mentorium.
