Corrugated packaging company Smurfit Kappa said on Friday that it has decided to exit the Russian market following the invasion of Ukraine.
The group has already suspended support for its Russian operations including any imports and exports and any short or long-term funding.
It said the exit will be effected “in an orderly manner” and it will continue to pay its employees and fulfil legal obligations. Smurfit noted that its Russian business represents less than 1% of forecasted sales.
