The coming week will be back-end loaded, with a raft of key survey results for manufacturing and services sector due out on Friday in many of the world’s key economic regions.
Nearly all of those surveys, covering the UK, US and Eurozone in early February are expected to show a slight acceleration in activity.
Otherwise, investors will also be pouring over the minutes of the last central bank policy meetings in the US and Eurozone, which are scheduled for release on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.
To take note of, trading volumes in Asian stockmarkets are likely to remain depressed throughout the week on account of the Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations.
US exchanges will also be closed on Monday, in observance of Presidents’ Day.
