Schroder Investment Solutions celebrates third anniversary as AUM passes £6 billion

by | Jun 28, 2024

Schroder Investment Solutions (SIS), the award-winning series of actively managed Model Portfolios and Multi-Asset Funds, is celebrating its third anniversary.

Since inception SIS has experienced robust growth, with assets under management (AUM) now surpassing £6 billion as clients have increasingly looked to access this market-leading range.

Created to cater for a wide range of clients’ investment needs and risk profiles, SIS offers financial advisers access to a diverse selection of approaches across the full risk spectrum spanning active, blended, passive and sustainable strategies. This award-winning proposition has attracted 238 new adviser firms since launch, bringing the total number of firms that have signed terms of business for SIS model portfolios to 349.

Research has indicated that outsourcing has no signs of slowing down with financial advisers recommending both multi-asset funds and model portfolios, depending on their clients’ needs and objectives. The Schroder Blended Portfolio has been particularly popular with AUM rising to over £1 billion. Its portfolios include both active and passive approaches across a diversified set of investments.

In May 2023, SIS announced a substantial fee reduction for the Global Multi-Asset Portfolios, a low cost-multi asset active fund range. The AUM of the portfolios has subsequently increased from £170 million to £235 million.

SIS is available on 16 platforms, as well as three internationally.

Rob Starkey, Portfolio Manager, SIS, said:

“As an industry we have recently seen strong positive inflows into discretionary models and managed portfolio services, and it is great to see this reflected within our own investment solutions. Three years on from launch we are thrilled by the progress that has been made across the diversity of our offering. Moving forward, we remain dedicated to our goal of delivering high-quality support that effectively meets the evolving needs of our clients.”

Ryan Paterson, Portfolio Manager, SIS, also said:

“SIS was established to address the growing demand from financial advisers for a comprehensive range of Multi-Asset solutions. We take great pride in what we have accomplished in the past few years, leveraging the power of our investment process and providing exceptional support to our clients. By collaborating with specialist resources from across the Schroders Group, we have successfully created a diversified selection of model portfolios and funds that prioritise both performance and cost considerations.”
