The coming week will see a barrage of key economic indicators released across all the main geographies.
First out will be a reading on Chinese foreign trade in June, which will be followed by readings on consumer prices out of France, Germany and the US.
The UK will follow on Wednesday, with the Office for National Statistics expected to report that the annual rate of increase in UK consumer prices picked up from 2.1% for May to 2.2% in June.
On Thursday, ONS will publish its monthly employment report for June, which consensus believes will show that UK unemployment was steady over the three months to May at 4.7%.
Investors will also be digesting a raft of Chinese activity indicators for June and trying to glean how long the hit to GDP from Covid-19 restrictions will last.
Later that same day, the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia will release its closely-followed manufacturing sector index for July.
Reports on monthly US retail sales and consumer confidence will follow the next day.
