CMA serves enforcement order over Capita sale to NEC Software

The Competition and Markets Authority said on Wednesday that it has served an initial enforcement order over Capita’s planned £62m sale of its emergency services business to NEC Software Solutions.

As a result, NEC and Capita cannot combine their businesses while the competition watchdog decides whether to refer the deal for an investigation.

Capita agreed to sell its Secure Solutions and Services business to NEC in October last year.

At 1235 GMT, Capita shares were down 2% at 37.56p.
