McBride appoints Regi Aalstad as non-executive director

Manufacturer McBride appointed Regi Aalstad to the role of non-executive director on Tuesday, with effect from 14 March.
Aalstad, who previously held non-executive director positions at Telenor and Geberit, will serve as a member of McBride’s nomination, remuneration and audit and risk committees.

Elsewhere, senior independent non-executive director Steve Hannam will depart the group following its annual general meeting on 18 October after having served nine year. Succession planning for his role was already said to be underway.

Chairman Jeff Nodland said: “Regi brings extensive experience from the global fast-moving consumer goods market. Her knowledge of the Asian and European markets, along with her strong board experience will be extremely beneficial to the board.

“I would like to take the opportunity to thank Steve for his wise counsel and guidance over the last nine years. Steve’s insight and contribution to board discussions have been invaluable to the Board and the business, from which we will continue to benefit until the AGM.”

As of 0815 GMT, McBride shares were down 5.21% at 45.50p.
