FTSE 100 movers: Informa rallies; miners under the cosh

The FTSE 100 was up 0.5% at 7,260.51 in afternoon trade on Tuesday, as London sweltered in what felt like 10 million degrees Celsius.
Informa rallied as it backed its full-year expectations, hailed strong first-half revenues and announced the acquisition of US-based Industry Dive for $389m.

Banks were also on the front foot, with Standard Charted, Lloyds, Barclays and NatWest all higher.

Miners were under the cosh as metals prices fell, with Anglo American, Glencore, Antofagasta and Rio Tinto all lower.
