National Express CFO stands down to take up job Diploma

Public transport operator National Express revealed on Wednesday that chief financial officer Chris Davies will stand down from the role to take up a job at industrial supplies company Diploma.
Diploma said its current CFO, Barbara Gibbes, will leave the group on 30 September and will be succeeded by Davies, whose start date will be confirmed in due course.

During the interim period from 1 October, until Davies joins Diploma, the FTSE 250-listed group said chief executive Johnny Thomson will assume supervision of the firm’s senior finance team.

National Express said it has already commenced a search for Davies’ successor.

As of 0850 BST, National Express shares were down 0.69% at 186.10p, while Diploma shares were down 2.03% at 2,602.0p.
