FTSE 100 movers: Miners on the rise; Phoenix goes ex-div

(Sharecast News) – London’s FTSE 100 was down 0.1% at 7,587.14 in afternoon trade on Thursday.
Miners Anglo American, Rio Tinto and Antofagasta were among the top gainers on the index.

On the downside, Barratt Developments, Phoenix Group, M&G, British American Tobacco and Rightmove were all weaker as they traded without entitlement to the dividend.

Phoenix was also in focus as it reported significant first-half progress in its interim IFRS financial statements, with an over twofold increase in new business long-term cash generation, surging to ยฃ885m.
