SIX expands Global Fixed Income Data coverage with extensive new offering

SIX, the global financial data and market infrastructure provider, has launched SIX Fixed Income Data. The new data offering delivers industry leading coverage of pricing, reference data, corporate actions, and underlying source documents for the global fixed income markets.

The solution provides reliable global fixed income data to banks, asset managers, wealth managers and hedge funds worldwide. With comprehensive coverage, rigorous validation processes, seamless integration into existing systems, and a flexible service model, the solution helps market participants reduce reliance on inconsistent, error-prone sources and stay agile as their needs evolve.

The data set draws from a vast array of information from across global markets to make this possible, particularly for instruments in the largest fixed income market, the United States. With SIX Fixed Income Data, clients have access to data for 3.6 million US instruments across municipal, corporate and government debt, and structured finance.

A key differentiator of the offering is the original issuance and lifecycle documentation fully owned by SIX and available through its centralized platform. This is reinforced by a robust validation process of cross-referencing, cleansing, and enrichment โ€“ crucial for delivering accurate, verifiable data in the opaque fixed income space. Additionally, the API-driven infrastructure of SIX streamlines the integration of data into clientsโ€™ workflows, reducing onboarding time and minimizing disruptions that can occur when using alternative solutions. Combined with transparent pricing and scalable licensing, the solution helps clients adapt their data consumption to evolving business needs without unexpected charges or rigid terms.

Swati Bhatia, Head of Fixed Income, Financial Information at SIX, said: โ€œFinancial institutions are heavily reliant on fixed income data to price securities, manage risk, and comply with regulations. Until recently, many market participants were constrained by offerings with inflexible commercial terms or forced to combine disparate data sources that lacked completeness and accuracy. By launching SIX Fixed Income Data, we are giving market participants the coverage, reliability, and pricing flexibility they need in the asset class that represents the largest segment of the global capital markets.โ€
