FundCalibre comments on Schroders’ Nick Kirrage departure

Laptop in office

Nick Kirrage, one of the most experienced and respected value investors in the UK, is leaving Schroders after a career spanning nearly two decades. As Head of the Value Equities team, Kirrage played a pivotal role in shaping Schrodersโ€™ value-driven investing philosophy and building a deep, collaborative team structure.

His disciplined, contrarian approach helped deliver long-term outperformance across a range of strategies, including the FundCalibre Elite Rated Schroder Recovery and Income funds.

Simon Adler, who has spent 16 years at Schroders specialising in Global and International Value, will succeed Kirrage as Head of Value Equities and assume responsibility for leading the team.

The UK and European Value strategies will continue to be managed by Andrew Lyddon, who has 19 yearsโ€™ experience at Schroders, and supported by Tom Grady, a UK equity specialist with 11 yearsโ€™ experience.

We understand that the Global Recovery, Global Equity Income, and Global Sustainable Value Equity strategies will remain under the management of Liam Nunn (14 yearsโ€™ investment experience, focused on Value since 2019) and Roberta Barr (joined Schroders in 2017), working alongside Adler.

Kirrage leaves behind a well-resourced and stable team, with an embedded investment process and strong continuity in portfolio management. He has forged a great legacy at Schroders. We will not be changing the status of the current Elite ratings applied to the funds he managed.
