M&G today announces that Tom Bischler has been appointed as CEO of its Platform business, from 1 April 20261.
Tom brings 20 years of industry experience and has served as CFO of the Platform since 2020, playing a central leadership role with deep understanding of its operations and strategy. He will report to Clive Bolton, CEO of M&G Life and succeeds Richard Denning, who is leaving the company to take up another role in the industry.
The M&G Platform plays an essential role in connecting advisers and their clients with market‑leading investment solutions, helping deliver better long-term outcomes across the advice journey. It is a key part of M&G’s multi-platform strategy to support the distribution of our products to customers and advisers, including PruFund, M&G’s market leading £70 billion smoothed fund.
Clive Bolton, CEO, M&G Life, said: “I’m delighted to promote Tom to Chief Executive, recognising his significant contribution as CFO over the past six years. He has played a key leadership role in driving our growth ambitions as we deepen the connection between the Platform, our investment products and distribution capabilities.
“As we launch new propositions by combining the breadth of our capabilities and the strength of our £134bn With Profits Fund, the Platform plays a pivotal role in providing access to M&G’s leading solutions for advisers and their clients. I’d like to thank Richard for his contribution to the Platform business and wish him every success for the future.”
Tom Bischler, incoming CEO, M&G Platform, said: “It’s an exciting time to be leading the Platform business into its next chapter. By opening up access to M&G Life’s products and solutions, we can continue to give advisers and their clients great outcomes.”
