Impax Asset Management, the specialist asset manager focused on the transition to a more sustainable economy, today announces the appointment of Andrew Morris as Co-Head, Private Equity Infrastructure.
Andrew brings more than two decades of infrastructure investing experience, spanning infrastructure, private equity and real assets.
Andrew was previously Head of Infrastructure Equity at UBS Asset Management, where he led the business investing across the energy, digital and transport sectors in Europe and North America. Before that he was a Managing Director within the Infrastructure, Real Assets business at Canada Pensions Plan Investments, where he was responsible for originating, executing and managing investments across private and public markets. Earlier in his career, he was a founding member of the RREEF Infrastructure European team, now part of DWS, helping to raise, invest and manage their pan-European infrastructure funds.
Andrew began his infrastructure investing career at John Laing PLC, focussing on concessions, public-private partnerships and greenfield projects. Throughout his career, he has held numerous non-executive director roles across transport, energy and telecommunications businesses.
Andrew joins Impaxโs Management Committee and will work closely alongside Daniel von Preyss, Co-Head Private Equity Infrastructure and replaces current Co-Head Carsten Johansen, who will be leaving Impax at the end of August. Andrew and Daniel will be supported by Private Equity Infrastructure senior leaders Manish Sarwal, who has been appointed Head of Asset Management and Babaola Omiyale, Managing Director.
