UK-based cybersecurity firm Avast on Thursday confirmed it was in advanced talks over a merger with NortonLifeLock.
Any deal would be a cash-and-share offer, Avast said, but added there was no certainty a deal will be agreed.
NortonLifeLock, previously known as Symantec, confirmed late on Wednesday that it was in discussion with Avast regarding a possible combination, but did not provide further details.
