Avon Rubber increases value of US Army deal

Personal protection manufacturer Avon Rubber said on Thursday that it had modified an existing contract with the US Army.
Avon said the US Army Integrated Head Protection System low rate initial production contract had been amended, increasing the total value of the deal by an estimated $28.4m.

As part of the modification, the US Army placed an additional order under the contract worth $18.9m, with deliveries under the modification expected to commence in the current financial year and contribute to the firm’s 2021 military revenues.

As of 0805 BST, Avon Rubber shares were up 5.19% at 3,324.0p.
