Downing announces the appointment of Jack Salisbury as Sales Partner. Jack will join the Downing Sales leadership team to help execute Downing’s retail sales strategy, with a particular focus on supporting the continued growth of the group’s estate planning solutions.
Jack joins Downing from Puma Investments, where he played a leading role in the firm’s sales operation. He brings significant experience in growing distribution across both unquoted and quoted IHT solutions and has built a strong track record of supporting financial advisers and wealth managers.
His appointment reflects Downing’s continued commitment to expanding its estate planning solutions and building on the success achieved to date in a growing and evolving market.
“We are delighted to welcome Jack to Downing. He brings a wealth of experience in the retail sales market; a deep understanding of advisers’ needs and a proven ability to build strong distribution partnerships. As demand for estate planning solutions continues to grow, Jack’s expertise will be invaluable as we seek to enhance our offerings and increase our market share.”
Tony McGing, CEO at Downing
“I am excited to be joining Downing at such an important stage in its growth. The firm has built a strong reputation in the estate planning market and has a clear ambition to further strengthen its position. I look forward to working alongside our growing team to deepen adviser relationships and support more clients in achieving their wealth and estate planning objectives.”
Jack Salisbury, Sales Partner at Downing
The appointment comes at a pivotal moment for the estate planning market. With pensions set to become subject to inheritance tax from April 2027 and more estates likely to face IHT liabilities, advisers are increasingly reviewing estate planning strategies with clients. Demand for solutions has risen accordingly, and Downing is continuing to invest in its customer and business development teams to support advisers navigating a rapidly evolving landscape.
