Energy Capital Partners has been granted an extension to the deadline for tabling a firm offer for integrated waste management Biffa.
The decision from the Takeover Panel followed a request from ECP for more time in order to be able conclude talks with potential providers of the financing needed to pursue a deal and Biffa acquiesced.
Hence, the deadline for the company to table a firm bid or else ‘shut up’ was pushed back for 28 days until 5.00 pm on 27 September.
According to Biffa, there was no certainty than an offer would be made nor as regards the terms of any potential transaction.
