UK wealth management firm Evelyn Partners has made a senior addition to its investment management leadership team with the appointment of Kate Morrissey.
Kate is joining the leading wealth and investment group with £62.7bn of assets under management as Head of Asset Allocation, a new position on the central investment team, and will report into Chief Asset Management Officer Edward Park.
She arrives at Evelyn Partners after 23 years at HSBC, most recently within HSBC Global Asset Management, where she was ultimately Head of World Selection and Global Strategy Funds. In that role she was Lead Portfolio Manager with responsibility for the management of the World Selection and Global Strategy fund ranges, orth £10bn and £6bn respectively.
Kate will lead Evelyn Partners’ macro-economic and quantitative strategy teams to recommend asset allocation decisions to the Tactical Asset Allocation Group. She will operate across the Central Investment Team and the TAAG, building consensus on investment decisions and optimising strategies.
She will also play a key role in communicating the asset allocation house view to internal and external stakeholders. Kate will be hiring a team of investment specialists to deliver this house view, our investment process and central products, to a wide range of stakeholders.
Edward Park says: “We are delighted to welcome someone of Kate’s calibre and track record to the central investment team.
“Her proven leadership and collegiate style is well aligned with the Evelyn Partners investment process and I look forward to working with Kate to develop our investment approach and establish the investment specialist team. This group will be dedicated to delivering our key investment messages to our internal and external partners.”
Kate Morrissey says: “I am delighted to be joining Evelyn Partners at such an exciting time. I am looking forward to working alongside Edward Park and the broader team to strengthen our asset allocation process. In partnership with the investment management teams, I am excited to help drive the investment proposition and deliver best-in-class solutions for our clients.”
Kate is an ambassador for the Diversity Project, a cross-company initiative aimed at championing an inclusive UK investment and savings industry “to reflect the society we serve and ultimately build more sustainable businesses”.
