Evelyn Partners opens the Door to streamline fund due diligence information

by | Jul 20, 2022

Door, the leading global digital due diligence and risk management platform, today announced that integrated wealth management and professional services group, Evelyn Partners, has adopted its fund due diligence platform.

In June this year, Tilney Smith & Williamson rebranded to Evelyn Partners, to bring together it’s two merged businesses under a single unified brand. Door helps Evelyn Partners embody this ethos by consolidating its fund due diligence and research processes onto a single platform, ensuring a common research language across the group for a fuller understanding of existing investments.

Door’s digital platform improves workflows and enhances the quality of engagement. Its technology enables Evelyn Partners to access historical data and track changes over time – helping the wealth manager meet key regulatory requirements and reduce risk. System alerts when fund managers make changes to content will help Evelyn Partners stay on top of important updates and respond promptly to any issues that impact obligations to end clients.

This partnership will also facilitate Evelyn Partners’ engagement with City Hive’s ACT Framework. Door delivers a questionnaire as part of the Framework, meaning Evelyn Partners can assess its asset managers’ corporate culture and encourage the improvement of diversity, equity, and inclusion across the industry.

Genevra Banszky von Ambroz, Partner and Co-Chair of the Collective Investments Group at Evelyn Partners said: “Door’s platform recreates our existing due-diligence questionnaires (DDQ) from globally recognised standard questions. This allows us to access the information we need from our managers, reduces repetitive work, and helps our asset manager partners scale their services with multiple clients. By allowing the team to have up-to-date content when reviewing our asset manager providers, it enables us to stay on top of important updates and respond promptly to any issues or opportunities.”

Rob Sanders, co-founder at Door, added: “By assisting in the support of research and risk management, and subsequently accessing our fund due diligence information, Evelyn Partners can deliver a comparable, complete, and timely information exchange. Our platform provides greater levels of transparency, enabling Evelyn Partners to paint a better overall picture of asset managers and their investment products.”
