Ladbrokes owner Entain was a high riser after it extended the acceptance deadline for its acquisition of Enlabs, standing firm on its offer despite some recoil from Enlabs shareholders.
Information business provider Relx was up after it lifted its dividend by 3% and signalled a return to pre-Covid trends for its science, risk and legal units but said a recovery in its exhibitions arm remained uncertain.
Shopping centre owner Land Securities was in the red, likely on ongoing worries about the impact of Covid-related closures.
