FTSE 100 movers: JD Sports rallies on Nike results; housebuilders gain

London’s FTSE 100 was up 1.2% at 7,282.67in afternoon trade on Tuesday.
JD Sports was the standout gainer on the index after Nike’s second-quarter earnings and sales beat expectations overnight.

Housebuilders Taylor Wimpey, Barratt, Persimmon and Berkeley all rose after data from HMRC showed house sales rebounded in November.

Asset manager Schroders was in the black after it agreed to buy a 75% stake in specialist investment manager Greencoat Capital Holdings for an initial ยฃ358.0m.
