The FTSE 250 was down 3.3% at 21,499.57 at 1510 GMT as stocks were hit by a global sell-off as tensions in Ukraine heightened.
Shares in Baltic Classifieds slumped after funds advised by Apax Partners LLP on Friday sold a 7% stake in the company for around £78m.
Embattled cyber security firm Darktrace was in the wars again as the shares fell 13%. The group was recently booted out of the blue-chip FTSE 100 index.
Cineworld shares gave up recent gains as investors took profits as the stock fell 11%. Entertainment stocks have come under pressure over fears that interest rate hikes and inflation will curb discretionary consumer spending.
Among the few risers, Playtech shares were up almost 3% as a takeover for the gaming equipment maker by Australia’s Aristocrat Leisure looked more likely now that a bid by ex Formula One boss Eddie Jordan had been pulled.
