London’s FTSE 250 was down 0.1% at 23,570.37 in afternoon trade on Monday.
Sirius Real Estate was under the cosh after saying it plans to raise £135m in a share placing to help fund the acquisition of commercial property firm BizSpace for around £245m.
Going the other way, wealth manager Investec was the top performer after it lifted its adjusted earnings per share guidance for the first half of 2022 to between 26p and 26.5p from previous guidance of 21.5p to 24p.
TI Fluid Systems was boosted by an upgrade to ‘overweight’ from ‘neutral’ at JPMorgan.
Gambling software developer Playtech rallied after confirming it has received a preliminary takeover approach from shareholder Gopher Investments. Responding to press speculation, the gambling software developer said it is in “early stage and ongoing” discussions with Gopher.
