Galliford Try joint venture appointed to Scottish Water’s SR21-27 non-infrastructure framework

UK construction firm Galliford Try said on Thursday that its environment business had been appointed to Scottish Water’s new non-infrastructure framework for the SR21-27 investment programme.
Galliford said the new framework was valued at ยฃ700.0m over a six-year time frame, beginning in 2020, and would see the 50/50 joint venture with MWH Treatment, known as ESD, support the capital delivery functions of Scottish Water, providing process design and build solutions for water and wastewater treatment works across Scotland.

The London-listed firm also highlighted that its previous ESD joint venture had delivered over 150 projects for Scottish Water during the six-year investment programme.

Chief executive Bill Hocking said: “The water sector remains a key focus for the infrastructure side of our business and I am delighted that we have renewed our position on this framework.

“We are a long-term partner for Scottish Water and look forward to continuing our excellent relationship, providing high-quality solutions for their investment programme needs.”

As of 0835 BST, Galliford Try shares were up 0.55% at 127.70p.
