The research comes from the financial experts atย online money transfer service Remitly, who analysed data from over 40 popular city destinations globally, to determineย which destinations have the most opportunities for overseas workers in 2025.

Iceland ranks overall overall in terms of the number of people either working or actively looking for work, with a workforce activity rate of 80.5%.
A high workforce activity rate may not sound good from the viewpoint of a job seeker, however, this is often an indicator of more inclusive employers, economic confidence, and strong demand for talent.
Globally, Iceland stands out with the highest workforce activity rate at 80.5%, coupled with the highest full-time employment rate at 73.5%.
Sweden and New Zealand also show strong rates, 75.2% and 72.1% respectively, indicating active labour markets.
