Bol d’Or Mirabaud since 2005
As the world’s largest inland lake regatta, every year, the Bol d’Or Mirabaud brings together on Lake Geneva 500 sailing boats and 3,000 sailors, both amateur and professional. Sponsored by the Group since 2005, the competition has carried the Mirabaud name since 2007.
The Sailing Squad, 2021
To mark the 82nd edition of the Bol d’Or Mirabaud, Mirabaud has presented its followers with a unique concept in the form of a mini-series, divided into four video clips. The Sailing Squad tells the story of young international sailors who meet for the first time in Geneva during the legendary Bol d’Or Mirabaud regatta. These five young sailors are accompanied by two-time Olympic champion and British TV presenter, Shirley Robertson. The second edition is in preparation with many surprises.
Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image since 2010
Created in 2010, the Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image award is the world’s premier photography competition devoted to yacht racing. It seeks to recognise the very best yacht racing images taken during the year, and those which best represent the essence and excitement of yacht racing as a sport.
SUI Sailing Awards
Mirabaud’s long history in the world of sailing is exemplified not only by its sponsorship of competitions and events, but also by its support of talented sailors. The group is one of the partners of SUI Sailing Awards, which rewards the most deserving figures in the sailing arena. Mirabaud presents the “Junior Sailor” Award, which encompasses its corporate values.
Mirabaud BaselHead Regatta since 2019
The Mirabaud BaselHead Regatta is one of the largest rowing boat competitions in the world. 100 crews from 10 nations compete in a 6.4 kilometre chase race in the heart of Basel. Mirabaud has been the event’s title partner since 2019.
The exceptional course takes the competitors under three bridges across the centre of Basel. It requires a great deal of talent and skill on the part of the crews. Spectators can follow the races all along the route.
Mirabaud has also sponsored Swiss sailor Dominique Wavre on IMOCA (during the Barcelona World race in 2010, the Transat Jacques Vabre in 2011 and the Vendée Globe in 2012) as well as Mike Horn and Dona Bertarelli’s team, Spindrift Racing.
