Jacksonville Jaguars and LGT Wealth Management US announce Gridiron Grant recipients, and participating schools for Reward Rows 2025

The Jacksonville Jaguars UK, in partnership with LGT Wealth Management US, has announced the recipients of the Gridiron Grant award for 2025, alongside the names of participating schools for its Reward Rows programme.

The Gridiron Grant is a unique scholarship programme, devised by LGT Wealth Management US and the Jacksonville Jaguars UK in 2018, to offer two recipients each year an opportunity to receive full tuition fees to any UK university or vocational programme of their choice. The only criteria to apply is that the students must participate in some form of American football programme through British American Football Association (BAFA) or the Jaguars.

This year’s recipients are Noah Kirby and Jochebed Frimpong. Noah has been part of both JagTag and BAFA programmes and played for Solent Seahawks Contact American Football team. His ambition is to combine his passion of coaching with a sports science degree and has been offered a place at Bournemouth University.  Jochebed is a Flag and Contact rising star, having been on a JagTag Xtra Time programme she transitioned to a Wide Receiver in contact football for London Warriors Women and South London Renegades. Jochebed has recently been named in the GB Women’s Flag Team for the Euro squad and aspires to make it to LA 2028. She will be studying psychology at St Marys University.

Activating at the LA Rams Vs Jacksonville Jaguars fixture at Wembley on October 19th, the annual Reward Rows programme is an initiative that forms an integral part of both the Jaguars and LGT’s commitment to supporting local community and engaging even more young people in sport and development. Each year young people take part in several activities within their school or youth group to enable them to qualify for the ‘reward’ of attending the Wembley game with their classmates. Many of the participating children come from disadvantaged and low socioeconomic backgrounds and may not have had the opportunity to experience a sporting event of this scale and excitement previously.  Schools participating in 2025 are from a wide geographical reach including: London, Liverpool, Belfast and Manchester and bring the total number of children benefitting from this opportunity to over 4,100 to date.

Paul Nixon, CEO LGT Wealth Management US, said:

“What makes Reward Rows so special is the chance it gives children to experience the excitement of Wembley and discover American football. For some, that first experience ignited an interest that grew into real opportunity. In fact, two-thirds of our Gridiron Grant winners’ first experience of a live game was through Reward Rows, showing how early exposure can open doors to new passions and opportunities. We’re delighted to see this journey continue and congratulate this year’s winners on all they’ve achieved”

Chad Johnson, Chief Operating Office at the Jaguars, added:

“The philanthropic endeavours of LGT Wealth Management US are one of the reasons we are proud to partner with them. We have seen many success stories emanating through both Reward Rows and the Gridiron Grant, with each initiative having firmly established roots in our community delivery through our portfolio of JagTag programmes. We are grateful to Paul Nixon and the team whose support of both American Football across the UK, and the investment in youth, enables us to continue jointly funding these initiatives.”
