John Menzies secures ‘significant’ contract with Mexican airline

Aviation logistics specialist John Menzies said on Wednesday that it has secured a “significant” contract with Mexico’s flagship carrier and largest international airline, Aeromexico, which includes ground services at 15 airports across the country.
As part of the three-year agreement, Menzies will deliver a full suite of ground services to the airline, including passenger, ramp and cleaning operations, for an expected 23,000 flights a year at stations including Los Cabos International Airport, Mérida International Airport, Del Bajío International Airport and Oaxaca International Airport.

The award means that Menzies Aviation will be the largest provider of aviation services to Aeromexico in the region.

Chief executive and chairman Philipp Joeinig said: “We’re delighted to announce our new partnership with Mexico’s flagship airline, which represents the continuing delivery of our strategic priorities.

“This is an exciting opportunity for Menzies that significantly increases our operations in Mexico and is testament to our trusted reputation and high standards of service.

“We look forward to working closely and to develop our relationship with Aeromexico to deliver our world-class ground handling services across an extensive network of airports.”
