Jupiter Asset Management announces that Niall Gallagher, Chris Sellers, and Chris Legg (together the “European Equity Team”) have officially joined the firm from GAM Investments. Their arrival marks a major step in Jupiter’s strategy to scale up its active management capabilities in strategic areas of investor demand.
The top-performing team brings with them a long-standing and successful track record, having led GAM’s European equities franchise for 15 years. Together, they have managed approximately £1.4bn¹ in European equity strategies for institutional and retail clients. Their performance has consistently ranked in the top quartile across most time periods, and they have achieved net inflows into their strategies over the past five years – a strong outcome in a segment that has otherwise seen over £100bn in cumulative net outflows.
Their arrival aligns with Jupiter’s long-term ambition to deliver superior outcomes for clients by attracting top-tier investment talent. With the team now in place, Jupiter has completed an orderly, client-focused transition of its existing European equity strategies to the new managers. The process has been seamless and conducted in the best interests of both existing and prospective investors.
Kiran Nandra, Head of Equities at Jupiter Asset Management, said:
“We’re delighted to welcome Niall, Chris and Chris to Jupiter. Their highly disciplined, research-led and nimble approach, consistent outperformance, and strong alignment with client objectives make them exactly the kind of active investors we want at the core of our platform. Their arrival significantly enhances our European equities capability and lays the foundation for a refreshed, best-in-class offering – at a time when the outlook for European equities is particularly compelling.”
Niall Gallagher, lead investment manager, said:
“It’s fantastic to be joining Jupiter, a firm with a deep commitment to active investment management and long-term client relationships. We’re looking forward to working with our new colleagues to grow the client base in European equities.”
