Nordea Asset Management (NAM) has appointed Kasper From Larsen and Rachel Reutter to its sustainable thematic team, further strengthening the team’s expertise in climate and impact investing.
This brings the team size to 15 investment professionals, including eight portfolio managers, as well as impact specialists and engagement professionals. Led by Thomas Sørensen and Henning Padberg, the team spans Copenhagen, London, and Singapore.
NAM is a pioneer in climate investing, having launched its first climate fund in 2008. Today, the team manages over €18bn across a range of high-conviction climate and impact strategies, which range from climate solutions and transition portfolios to wide-ranging impact strategies.
Larsen has joined the team as a portfolio manager, bringing nearly two decades of experience in equity research and portfolio management. For the past 11 years, he was a portfolio manager at Danske Bank Asset Management. Throughout his career, Larsen has focused on sectors central to the energy transition – including utilities, renewables, and capital goods.
Reutter, who has 20 years of experience, joined the team as a portfolio manager. Her focus will be on impact strategies, including the Nordea 1 – Global Impact Fund. Prior to joining NAM, Reutter worked for 13 years at J O Hambro Capital Management. For the last decade, Rachel served as a lead portfolio manager and ran a concentrated equity portfolio with well-developed ESG integration and a detailed corporate engagement process.
Larsen and Reutter will report to Thomas Sørensen and Henning Padberg, co-heads of the sustainable thematic team.
Sørensen comments: “Kasper and Rachel bring complementary skill sets and a shared commitment to high-quality sustainable investing. Their extensive experience and strong analytical capabilities will reinforce the team’s ability to deliver long-term, impact-driven results for our clients.”
