Patronus selects WealthAi as AI adoption accelerates across wealth management

WealthAi, the AI operating system built specifically for wealth managers, has signed Patronus Partners, a UK wealth management firm who provide a full service offering for private wealth and family office clients, as a new client in a full front-to-back deployment across all users and agents.

Like many wealth management firms, since launching 11 years ago, Patronus had accumulated a patchwork of unconnected legacy systems such as CRM tools, compliance platforms and operational software that operated in isolation, created duplication and placed a significant administrative burden on the firmโ€™s team of wealth managers and operational staff.

Recognising the value that AI might bring to front, middle and back office operations, Patronus began exploring AI integration 18 months ago, experimenting with tools from OpenAI, Gemini and Anthropic. While the firm quickly saw the potential, deploying individual solutions from different providers created additional problems: inconsistent outputs that didn’t understand the nuances of wealth management, difficult and time consuming to ensure compliance oversight, and processes that required near-constant manual updating as the technology evolved.

After experimenting with multiple AI tools, Patronus selected WealthAi as a unified operating system to  integrate with existing infrastructure and reduce the operational burden created by disconnected legacy systems.

The deployment will mark a significant step in Patronus’s growth strategy. By reducing the administrative burden that has historically consumed the majority of the firm’s operational capacity, WealthAi will free the Patronus team to focus on what matters most – serving clients and scaling the business. With wealth management firms under increasing pressure to do more with less, the partnership reflects a broader shift in how ambitious firms are choosing to grow.

Jeremy Steinson, Director at Patronus Partners, said:

“Before adopting AI, we had a plethora of different systems, none of them talking to each other, all rather archaic, with limited intelligence let alone artificial intelligence. Like most wealth management firms, it often felt as though we were spending most of our time handling admin when all we wanted was to get back to serving clients and ensuring best outcomes for those clients.

“We have been utilising AI for the last 18 months – experimenting with tools built by the AI giants that donโ€™t fully understand the nuances and intricacies of our industry. They would be utilised to improve individual processes or systems, but in turn wouldnโ€™t communicate with each other. What we wanted was a LLM agnostic provider who could provide a full AI overlay to our whole operation, in a secure and coherent way.

“Building a new operating system with WealthAi is how we turn a new page. In WealthAi we believe that we haveย  found an AI-native platform that understands our market, can be fully embedded throughout our business, can link to any additional tech provider we need to use, and – crucially – updates automatically without manual intervention from us. For us, WealthAi is our digital CTO – hopefully a gamechanger in this rapidly evolving market.”

Jason Nabi, CEO of WealthAi, said:

“Patronus is a great example of where the wealth management industry is right now – and a really exciting example of the sort of innovative approach wealth management firms want to take to make their systems and processes work harder, faster and better for clients. Firms like Patronus have been experimenting with AI for the best part of two years, but where they struggle is in trying to bolt the latest AI tools onto one another, or onto legacy systems that were never designed to work together.

“What they actually need is an operating system that connects everything – front to back, across every workflow, with the compliance and governance controls built in from day one. That’s exactly what we’re building for Patronus.”

The deployment will see WealthAi’s AI assistant and agent layer embedded across Patronus’s entire operation, with specialist agents handling compliance monitoring, client management, research and operational workflows. The platform’s hybrid architecture, combining trained SLMs with deterministic workflows, means the system updates continuously without requiring manual process changes from the Patronus team.

Patronus will also access the WealthAi Marketplace, which gives clients a curated set of best-in-class data and research providers, including SIX, Morningstar, Capital Economics, MDOTM and Axyon, alongside a data layer connecting to more than 250 custodians and banks.
