Insurance firm Prudential has named a new chief executive for its US business ahead of its planned separation from the group.
Prudential said on Thursday that Laura Prieskorn would take over as chief executive officer of Jackson, its US division, as the company proceeds with its planned demerger in the second quarter of 2021.
Prieskorn has spent 31 years at Jackson, most recently as executive vice president and chief operating officer.
In other boardroom shake-ups, Marcia Wadsten was appointed chief financial officer, while Michael Falcon and Axel Andre left their respective roles as CEO and CFO, effective immediately.

“Laura and Marcia have both played important roles in Jackson’s development into one of America’s leading annuity providers. They have the skills needed to deliver on the company’s objectives and create value for shareholders.”
As of 0830 GMT, Prudential shares were down 0.66% at 1,287.0p.
