Sirius Real Estate appoints Chris Bowman as CFO

Sirius Real Estate said on Monday that it has appointed Chris Bowman as its new chief financial officer.
Bowman brings nearly 25 years’ accounting, finance and capital markets experience, it said. Most recently, he led the UK investment banking arm of Berenberg.

Prior to this, Bowman spent seven years at investment banking in Liberum, before which he worked in corporate finance at Canaccord and Credit Lyonnais. Chris qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG in 2000.

His appointment becomes effective on 29 August, at which time he will also join the Sirius board. Upon Bowman’s arrival, interim CFO and former CFO Alistair Marks will resume his focus fully on his role as chief investment officer, which he has held since January 2021.

Chief executive Andrew Coombs said: “Chris brings a wealth of experience in capital markets and business development, as well as financing, and is extremely well qualified to oversee the continued financial management of the group.

“His appointment delivers considerable strength and capacity to the senior management team and we look forward to utilising his expertise as we continue to grow Sirius in line with our strategic goals.”
