Evidence-based investing pioneer Sparrows Capital has hired Gareth Perry as Business Development Manager. Perry will report directly to Arnie Millington, Head of Business Development.
This appointment marks the firm’s fifth hire for its business development team over the last 12 months, following the additions of Paul Fox, Michelle Liseli, James Denton and Dan Torbett in 2025. The expansion comes as Sparrows Capital continues to develop SCore, its low-cost, evidence-based MPS proposition.
Perry brings over a decade of financial services experience to the role. He joins from TIME Investments, where he served as a Senior Business Development Manager for the South West and Northern Ireland regions, specialising in IHT planning education for advisers.
Prior to this, Perry held a senior role at Seven Investment Management (7IM), where he was instrumental in growing the firm’s Platform, Funds, and Model Portfolio business. During his tenure, he successfully secured over £175m in platform assets and £85m in MPS assets. His background also includes a successful period as a Wealth Account Manager at Zurich UK, where he drove over £400m in new business, and earlier experience as an Equity Derivatives Trader. Before joining the industry, he served in the British Army for almost eight years.
Commenting on the appointment, Arnie Millington, Head of Business Development at Sparrows Capital, said: “Gareth is a very welcome addition to the team during a period of significant growth. His deep network in the intermediary space and track record in model portfolio and platform sales make him an ideal fit for Sparrows Capital. As we continue to champion fair value and the benefits of Evidence-Based Investing, Gareth’s expertise will be instrumental in delivering our highly diversified, transparent, and cost-effective solutions to a wider audience of advisers and clients.”
