Spirax-Sarco Engineering said on Monday that it considering closing its loss-making Chromalox manufacturing facility in Soissons, France.
The company has begun a consultation with trade unions about the financial underperformance of the facility and its consequences, including potential closure of the site.
“Electric Thermal Solutions remains fully committed to its customers in the region,” Spirax said.
It said the consultation has no impact on any other group facility in Europe or elsewhere and that full-year guidance for 2022 remains unchanged.
