All eyes on Tuesday will be on the release of services sector Purchasing Managers’ Indices in the UK and euro area covering the month of June.
On home shores, the services PMI is expected to match the preliminary reading of 54.3 which in turn was unchanged from the month before.
A similar outcome is anticipated for the euro area, although in that case the preliminary print of 52.8 was significantly weaker than May’s reading of 56.1.
Stateside, the market spotlight will be on preliminary figures for durable goods orders in May.
Down Under, rate-setters in Sydney will meet to decide on interest rates with a 50 basis point hike in the Reserve Bank of Australia’s Cash Rate to 1.35% expected by the market consensus.
Consumer price data are also due out overnight in South Korea, Philippines, and Thailand.
