W1M: Nick Tucker retires following decades of leadership in wealth and investment management

W1M Wealth Management Ltd (W1M), the wealth and investment management firm newly created by the merger of Waverton Investment Management and London & Capital, today announces the retirement of former Waverton Investment Management Chief Executive Officer, Nick Tucker, from his role as a Non-Executive Director.

Nick retires after decades of leadership in the wealth and investment management industry, including almost 10 years at UBS, over 23 years at Merrill Lynch, and most recently four and a half years as Chief Executive Officer of Waverton Investment Management.

Following Waverton’s merger with London & Capital in July 2024, Nick has served as a Non-Executive Director of the combined entity, supporting the integration process and helping to establish W1M as a leading international wealth and investment manager.

Nick Tucker said:

“I am immensely proud to have played my part in bringing together Waverton and London & Capital to create W1M. The firm’s unique proposition as one home for wealth and investment management is being led by truly talented individuals, all of whom I have greatly enjoyed working with over the last five years. I am looking forward to watching the firm go from strength to strength as it cements its place in this competitive market.”

Guy McGlashan, Chief Executive Officer of W1M, added:

“Without Nick’s dedication, leadership and vision, our landmark merger would not have been possible. I would like to thank him personally for his tireless and invaluable efforts in laying the groundwork for W1M’s long term success. We all wish him a richly deserved, long and happy retirement.”
