Waverton Investment Management has today announced the retirement of David Rosier, Chairman of Waverton Investment Management Group Limited.
Rosier retires after a distinguished 47-year career in the City, including seven and a half years of dedicated service as Wavertonโs Chair, during which he briefly served as interim Chief Executive Officer in 2019, and as Deputy Chair of London & Capital following the firmsโ successful merger in July 2024.
Although retiring from his formal role, Rosier will continue to support the business by establishing a new Client Advisory Council. The Council will act as an important sounding board, shaping the firmโs client proposition and providing valuable feedback to strengthen client relationships as the business evolves beyond its current ยฃ21bn AUM.
โIt has been a huge pleasure to serve as the Chair of Waverton over the last seven and a half years, and more recently as Deputy Chair of London & Capital. Having been intimately involved in the merger and integration of these two outstanding businesses, I have no doubt the combined firm has a bright future ahead of it as W1M. I am very glad to remain involved in an ongoing basis in my capacity as Chair of the Client Advisory Council,โ said Rosier.
Guy McGlashan, Chief Executive Officer, added: โIt has been a privilege to work alongside David, whose experience and professional standing is second to none. His counsel and insights during the merger were invaluable, as was his personal encouragement and support as I stepped into my new role. We all wish him a richly deserved long and happy retirement and hope he looks back on his time with Waverton as a crowning achievement in a career littered with other fabulous achievements.โ
