Wednesday preview: US ADP jobs report, unit labor cost data in focus

(Sharecast News) – The market spotlight on Wednesday will continue to be on the U.S. jobs market.
At 1330 GMT, consultancy ADP will release the results of its private sector payrolls survey for November.

The report’s track record in mimicking the official non-farm payrolls number due out two days afterwards is lacklustre at best.

Nevertheless, it often moves financial markets on an intra-day basis.

Due out alongside are labour productivity and unit cost data covering the third quarter.

Investors will also be keeping an eye out for Bank of Canada’s latest interest rate decision.

In the euro area meanwhile, at 1000 GMT Eurostat will release retail sales figures for the month of October.

On home shores, at 0700 GMT the BoE’s Financial Policy Committee will publish its Financial Stability Report for December.
