Financial markets’ focus over the coming week will be on inflation readings due out across the world’s largest economies, including China, euro area and US.
First out will be a reading on consumer prices for April in the People’s Republic of China, on Tuesday.
It will be followed on the next day by CPI prints in France and Germany, and in the US on Thursday.
On home shores meanwhile, the key focus for investors may be a speech from Bank of England Governor, Andrew Bailey, scheduled for Tuesday.
Deputy BoE Governor, Jon Cunliffe, is also due to take to the podium, on Thursday.
Stateside, Friday will bring with it a raft of monthly activity indicators, including for industrial production and retail sales, together with import price data and a preliminary reading on consumer confidence.
The minutes of the European Central Bank’s last policy meeting are also due out at the end of the week.
