(Sharecast News) – Investors’ focus over the coming week would be on the latest monthly readings for consumer prices due out in the US, euro area and China.
Key among them would be the former, on Thursday, given the Greenback’s role in global finance and for the world economy.
Consensus was for the annual rate of headline CPI increases in the States to pick up from the 3.0% clip observed in June to 3.3%.
But first out would be CPI data for the single currency bloc, on Tuesday.
They would be preceded by a report on industrial production in Germany for the month of June scheduled for release on Monday.
Also due to be published on Tuesday were Chinese foreign trade data for July.
In turn, they would be followed by Chinese CPI figures on Wednesday.
Readings for US producer price and consumer confidence, on Friday, were likely to also draw a lot of attention.
