Yamana Gold declared a first quarter dividend of three cents per share on Friday.
The London-listed firm said shareholders on record at the close of business on 31 March would receive payment on 14 April.
“The dividend is an ‘eligible dividend’ for Canadian tax purposes,” the Yamana board explained in its short statement.
At 1518 GMT, shares in Yamana Gold were up 10.61% in London at 365p.
